Community Action has very limited availability of hotel rooms, but they will be sheltering families with minor children, elderly individuals, or especially vulnerable individuals all week.
Mountainland Continuum of Care will have warming centers open Wednesday night (1/24) and Thursday night (1/25) at the following locations:
Wednesday, 1/24, 10 PM-8 AM- Provo Community Church of Christ
Thursday, 1/25, 9 PM-8 AM- 7th Day Adventist Community Center
This week, they have their annual countywide Homeless Point in Time Count, which is their homeless census. They have teams that will be covering all of Utah County on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings. This is a required activity by HUD that they do every year. Their teams are getting full, but if anyone is interested in joining them, email Heather Hogue at heatherh@unitedwayuc.org.
If you know of homeless encampments in the area, especially outside of Provo and Orem, please let Heather know and she will make sure to send teams out to those areas.
