As of 1/1/2025, the cost of both culinary and pressurized irrigation water has increased to offset the cost of water line leak repairs. These increases are needed to meet financial agreements that require the City's water system to earn at least 25% more in revenue than its operating expenses.

Listed are the budget categories that have increased with their corresponding dollar amounts:

  • The water construction projects budget, which has increased by $38,000.

  • The building repairs budget, which has increased by $8,000,

  • The electricity costs budget, which has increased by $72,000.

Because utility bills reflect the previous month's water usage, these increases will appear on resident's February utility bill, which is due by March 1st.
