The Cedar Hills Drive water line project is nearing completion with the upsized water lines and vital connections now installed. The remaining portion of the project is the milling and asphalt installation for the full width of Cedar Hills Drive through the project area. With the cold temperatures, it is not feasible to obtain and install asphalt at this time. (The engineering best practices for asphalt installation is 50 degrees and rising.)
The City is actively working with the contractors and the engineer to create a temporary solution to safely open Cedar Hills Drive in both directions over the winter. Once the asphalt plants have reopened in the spring, and temperatures are within the approved range, the City will direct the contractor to complete the final portion of this project. Thank you for your patience while we complete this necessary work.

In collaboration with our neighboring cities Alpine, American Fork, Draper, Highland, and Lehi, we have studied the potential creation of a new school district that would serve children in our communities. Over the past 45-day public comment period, we have collectively held over a dozen public meetings and heard from hundreds of residents.
Join us on Tuesday, August 6 at 6 p.m. for a special public meeting at the Community Recreation Center. At this meeting, the City Council is scheduled to vote on whether to put the question of a new school district on the ballot for voters to decide this fall.
