The Cedar Hills Drive water line project is nearing completion with the upsized water lines and vital connections now installed. The remaining portion of the project is the milling and asphalt installation for the full width of Cedar Hills Drive through the project area. With the cold temperatures, it is not feasible to obtain and install asphalt at this time. (The engineering best practices for asphalt installation is 50 degrees and rising.) The City is actively working with the contractors and the engineer to create a temporary solution to safely open Cedar Hills Drive in both directions over the winter. Once the asphalt plants have reopened in the spring, and temperatures are within the approved range, the City will direct the contractor to complete the final portion of this project. Thank you for your patience while we complete this necessary work.

There will be a culinary water outage tomorrow, August 21st. We expect the outage to begin at 9:00am and end around 5:00pm. Sections of Cedar Hills Drive (between Oak Road East and Oak Road West) as well as some homes north of Cedar Hills Drive will be affected. Refer to the map below to view potential affected areas. Door notices were delivered to homes we expect to be impacted by the outage. However, please note that as work continues, the areas and conditions may change. Residents in the affected area should prepare for ZERO water between this time. This includes sinks, showers, toilets, etc. We recommend filling a sink or bathtub with water before hand in case of emergency. We understand this is a major inconvenience and we appreciate your patience. We will be working as fast as possible to complete this project. Thank you for your understanding!
